Log Siding

Log homes are very popular.  They make great cozy cabins for a lake home or a mountain retreat.  Log homes are energy efficient and beautiful, but quite expensive.  You can get the same look by using log siding on a traditionally framed home for a fraction of the cost.

A good log siding can be hard to distinguish from a traditional log home.  It is also more affordable.  It will give you the same rustic look of real logs.  In some area code will not allow for log homes.  Log siding is a perfect alternative in these areas.  You can get the same look with a traditional frame structure. 

Log siding does not only have to be used on a new home.  It can be used to remodel an existing home and give it an entirely new look.  What once may have been a boring traditional structure, will now be a log cabin.  You can get log siding in either cedar or pine just like regular log homes. 

Log siding has become more and more popular.  Because of its ease of installation and low cost it has become a very popular alternative to traditional log homes.  It can even be used when adding an addition to an existing log building.  Many people choose to use log siding when building an out building such as a detached garage to an existing log home.  Because there are many options and colors available, it is not hard to match existing structures.
